Celeste Macevicius (she/her) - Celeste is a queer and relatively cis woman. She is a settler of Lithuanian, Scottish, and English ancestry, and was born and grew up on unceded Lkwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ territory. She is currently working on her Masters in Public Health at UVic. She also works as a research assistant at the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research and volunteer policy advocate with Vancouver Island Voices for Eating Disorders. She brings a wide variety of experience and skills to the Monoceros Education Society board and is a key organizer of Queer Crafternoon. When she’s not working or studying, Celeste loves spending time with her dog, climbing, jumping into the freezing ocean, sharing time with loved ones, and reading as many books as she can get her hands on.
